Thank you for your interest in applying for an event sponsorship. Matrikel1 gathers individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset – a central hub for startups, scaleups and creatives in Copenhagen´s entrepreneurial ecosystem. We match talent and drive with network and resources, and aim to inspire and empower the startups of tomorrow, by designing the best coworking space and the most valuable entrepreneurial community.

Enclosed you will find eligibility requirements, the application process, the application form and guidelines.

Matrikel1 has allocated up to DKK 350,000 annually to support events within the startup eco system.

 

What events do we support?

• The event or workshop must take place in Matrikel1 event venues.
• The applicant does not have to be a member of Matrikel1 and Mesh Community but does have to be involved in the startup eco system.
• We welcome applications for activities like workshops, training/mentoring events, networking initiatives, competitions, hackathons etc.

Types of Sponsorships

1. Venue
   • The sponsorship provides the event venue
   • This does not include catering nor event staff but Matrikel1 offers a discount on all the in-house services
2. Event series
   • This sponsorship provides an event venue up to 30 people for series of events that will take place during the course of the year(12months). Event can take place maximum 4 times within 12 months
   • This does not include catering nor event staff but Matrikel1 offers a discount on all the in-house services
3. Full sponsorship
   • The sponsorship provides event venue, staff and the catering for the whole event
   • The catering options will be specified in the application form

Process and Timeline:

• Application form will be active all year around. 
• There will be 3 evaluation rounds thoruhgout the year - February, June and November. The deadline for applications will be the last day of the previous months.
• Your event must take place within the next 6 months from the evaluation round (except the Event series that has to take place within the next 12 months)
• The event can't take place in the following months: June, July, August, September and December
• If awarded the sponsorship you will automatically agree to the following terms:
  • The event must be open to public and not a private event of your company/institution
  • The event must be announced to participants outside of your institution/company and promote inclusivity
  • Matrikel1 must be credited in all relevant announcements, social media posts, and event material by name, logo, link and/or hashtag, depending on the media
    • Matrikel1 must be credited as a sponsor at least 1 time before and 1 time after the event on LinkedIn platform and one additional Social Media platform
• Upon acceptance of the sponsorship, Matrikel1 will provide a formal contract outlining the terms and conditions of the sponsorship agreement. This contract will serve as a mutual understanding between both parties, ensuring transparency and clarity in our partnership.

Guidelines

• Priority will be given to events that demonstrate a unique value to the community
• The event must be free of charge for the participants.
• The event can not be a private event. If registration is required, it should be open to the public and not limited to specific individuals or groups.
• If applicants would like to have services that are not included in the sponsorship, they are responsible for covering the additional costs. Accepted applicants receive a discount on all in-house services provided by Matrikel1.
• Outside catering is not permitted for applicants unless required by other sponsors or directly linked to the applicant's brand.
• Applicants can have other sponsors unless they collide with our services and/or values.
• Matrikel1 does not intend to become a regular, anticipated funding partner with any organisation. We hope that our limited funding will enable worthwhile organisations to rise to new levels of service; meet an urgent need or take advantage of a unique opportunity. Likewise if we can help build a small or large improvement that will last for many years and contribute to startup community we are interested in making one-time or occasional contributions
• Matrikel1 reserves the right to reject any and all applications and to waive minor irregularities in sponsorship application
• In our commitment to support a diverse range of initiatives, we anticipate that, during our selection process, we may be able to offer full sponsorship to one exceptional event. However, to increase the likelihood of sponsorship, we encourage you to consider the venue-only or event series categories, as these options may provide greater flexibility in our support. FULL SPONSORSHIP 

The sponsorship provides event venue, staff and the catering for the whole event.

This sponsorship type provides the event venue. It does not include catering nor event staff but Matrikel1 offers a discount on all the in-house services.

This sponsorship provides an event venue up to 30 people for series of events that will take place during the course of the year. Event can take place maximum 4 times within 12 months.
